Paweł M. Owsianny is a conservation and environmental scientist with a PhD in Biological Sciences whose research focuses on the biodiversity and functioning of freshwater and saltwater ecosystems, including algal taxonomy and ecology. He is interested in the relationship between the environment, particularly forest and aquatic environments, and human health. He is passionate about outdoor education and has led scientific research expeditions to Svalbard and Ukraine. He is the Director of the AMU Nadnotecki Institute in Piła.
