Krzysztof Zawierucha is an environmental biologist specialising in biodiversity and ecology of glaciers. He works at the Faculty of Biology, AMU. He is interested in the role of glaciers as ecosystems and refuges for cold-loving organisms. His favourite organisms are tardigrades, which inhabit small water-filled reservoirs on glaciers. He is a fan of education and science popularisation. He loves scientific literature, books, high mountains, the Arctic, swamps and the old orchard in his home village.
