Joanna is a chemical engineer, ethnology student and culture animator. She graduated from the Poznań University of Technology with a thesis on the method of metal recovery from industrial wastewater. She is currently studying anthropology and ethnology at the Adam Mickiewicz University, trying to use her engineering background in ethnographic research (e.g. by participating in projects on sewage treatment plants). Recently, her interests have focused on the anthropology of water. She also works in the community-based cultural centre Fyrtel Główna.
