Specifying Practices Enabled by Cycling In FIfteen-minute Cities (SPECIFIC) is funded by Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) and Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju (NCBR) under the project number DWM/DUT/231/2023 and led by Prof. Aleksandra Lis-Plesińska at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

In Poznań, we focus on cargo bikes. Thanks to the support and active participation of our partners, we intend to examine not only the potential role of cargo bike deliveries in shaping 15-minute cities, but also to identify implementation barriers and ways to overcome them. We also want to examine how residents, couriers and other stakeholders perceive such forms of delivery and what infrastructure support would be key to their effective implementation. As part of the project, we will conduct a ‘transitional experiment’ that will allow us to assess the possibilities of cargo bike deliveries in the neighbouring districts of Poznań.

The project research team: Prof. Aleksandra Lis-Plesińska, Dr Marcin Krassowski, Michał Łakomski.
