On Friday 15 November at 4 pm, Professor Damiano Canapa, University of Lausanne, will give a presentation on “Swiss legislation on business and human rights: From non-financial to sustainability reporting”.

The event is organised by the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań at the Collegium Rubrum, 2nd floor, Auditorium Hall (no. 207) Al. Niepodległości 53, Poznań.

Damiano Canapa is Associate Professor of Business Law at the University of Lausanne and Director of the Centre for Business Law (CEDIDAC). Prof. Canapa holds an LL.M. from the College of Europe, Bruges, and Yale Law School, and a doctorate in law from the University of Zurich.

The lecture will focus on the modalities of harmonising the Swiss legislation on Business and Human Rights (BHR) with the respective EU legal framework. It is the opening lecture of a series dedicated to different aspects of BHR, including environmental rights and protection. The event is being organised with the financial support of the National Science Center as part of the project Corporate Human Rights Due Diligence – the Case of Implementation into National Law (ref. no. 2021/41/B/HS5/01557).
