On 11 September 2023, a conference and research workshop on electromobility were held at the Collegium Historicum of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The meeting was organised by the Research Centre for Ecological and Energy Challenges at the Adam Mickiewicz University as part of the Fair Transition to Electromobility: Oslo, Poznań, Utrecht, Bristol project (ITEM – Inclusive Transition towards Electric Mobility, 2020/02/YHS4/00078).
During the conference, the participants had the opportunity to listen to Mr Aleksander Szałański – Foundation for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles, who presented the results of research on clean transport zones in Polish and European cities, followed by Mr Łukasz Franek – Director of the Public Transport Authority in Krakow, who presented the process of designing and implementing a clean transport zone in Krakow. The conference part of the event was concluded by Mr Jan Kosmecki – Head of the Mobility and Transport Policy Branch of the Poznań City Hall, with a presentation on the conceptual assumptions of the CTZ in Poznań.
The workshop part of the meeting was dedicated to the discussion of assertions on Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure, Clean Transport Zones, Electromobility Transition Trajectory and the analysis of knowledge demand, generation strategies and uptake.
Up to 22 people attended the meeting on a rotating basis. Representatives of the entities present were: GLS Polska, Poznan City Transport Authority, Poznan City Roads Authority, Poznan Youth City Council, Poznan University of Technology, Adam Mickiewicz University, Office of Digitalisation and Cyber Security – Poznan City Hall, Mobility and Transport Policy Branch – Poznan City Hall, Union of Polish Cities, Grunwald Południe Neighbourhood Council, Stare Miasto Neighbourhood Council, Foundation for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles and Public Transport Authority in Krakow.
