On 30 November 2023, Dr Marek W. Jaskólski represented the Centre at a conference organised by the Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley Association entitled: Hydrogen Corridors of Europe.
The “Hydrogen Corridors of Europe” conference took place in Legnica. The event began with welcoming remarks from guests, including Sławomir Sobkiewicz, Director of the Business Unit Energy at Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A. and President of the Board of the Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley Association; Przemysław Bożek, President of the Legnica Special Economic Zone; and Fabrizio Bosetti, President of BGC Group.
Subsequently, attendees were introduced to the Polish hydrogen corridors by Luca Franchetti Pardo, the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Poland, Torsten Göhler, Deputy Consul General of Germany, and Nicola Petteno’, President of Confindustria Poland.
The conference agenda included presentations such as ARP E-Vehicles, discussions on funding support for hydrogen corridors (3W program) by BGK, the path to carbon neutrality with hydrogen cogeneration by 2G, and “Hydrogen for TOP Managers” – a Hydrogen Study.
Among the speakers was the Italian Hydrogen Association Environment Park/H2IT, presenting territorial experiences and the development of the industrial hydrogen supply chain in Italy.
After a coffee break, two discussion panels took place, covering European hydrogen initiatives and national hydrogen initiatives in transport corridors.
Following the panels, there was a lunch break with individual discussions. The HydrogenMixer event, featuring B2B meetings in a “speed dating” style, took place in the afternoon. The conference concluded with a “Stage for Startups” session and the official closing remarks by Agnieszka Spirydowicz, Przemysław Bożek, President of the Legnica Special Economic Zone, and Fabrizio Bosetti, President of BGC Group.
